Recognition and Award-Winning
In 1997 Peter Dunphy won the Daily Mail Challenge Trophy for his video Somebody. Peter was the youngest-ever winner of this trophy which was founded in 1934 by the directors of Associated Newspapers.
“This is a remarkably fine piece of work indeed. All creative and technical functions are executed with intelligence, skill and understanding. But the viewer's lingering memory is of its driving passion. There is immense passion in the camerawork; the visuals are unrelentingly compelling...these reveal an author who loves the moving image, and for whom the camera is a natural, and intoxicating instrument of creation.”
Stuart Rumens - IAC International Film and Video Competition 1997
Peter also won the Wallace Heaton Cup for the Best Photography, IAC Youth Trophy for the Best Youth Entry, and a Camcorder User International Medallion.
“a highly imaginative film with a very powerful visual style”
